Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Spotify, Apple Music or another playlist app?
Yes. You can connect a phone, tablet or laptop and play your own music through the system. We’ll make sure you know how everything connects before your rental begins.
How do I know how many speakers I need?
That depends on your guest count, venue size, whether the event is indoors or outdoors and whether you need background music or a full dance floor. Tell us about your wedding and we’ll recommend the appropriate setup.
Do I need a subwoofer?
Not necessarily. For ceremonies, speeches and background music, you may not need one at all. For receptions where dancing is important, a subwoofer can make a major difference by adding the deeper frequencies that give music its energy and impact.
Is the equipment difficult to set up?
Our DIY systems are selected with simplicity in mind. We’ll walk you through how everything connects and operates. If you would rather not handle setup yourself, delivery and professional setup are also available.
Can I rent wireless microphones?
Yes. Wireless handheld and lapel microphone options are available for officiants, vows, speeches, toasts and announcements.
What happens if I have a question during my rental?
You can contact Roots & Rhythm directly for support. We want you to feel comfortable operating the equipment before you leave with it and we’re available if something comes up.
Do you also offer full-service wedding DJ services?
Yes. If you would rather have someone handle the music, sound and flow of your reception, Roots & Rhythm also offers full-service wedding DJ and production services.
